Enjoy a Somer holiday in the West Country
Watching normal people build veritable palaces in a few months gives me hope that maybe one day I could knock up a six-bedroom eco-house employing heat converters, solar panels and a biodigester in the garden.
Given I can’t change a light bulb without giving myself an electric shock and causing a power cut, then, in all honesty, it is likely to remain a dream.
But if I can’t have one for myself then how about the second best thing – renting one for a week.
Sharpenton Lodge in Somerset is just the place. The beautiful building, built in 2010, overlooks the rolling Quantock Hills and every detail is perfect.
The former farm building has been transformed into a captivating four-bedroom holiday home.
It would be the perfect base for exploring the surrounding countryside but it was hard to tear ourselves away from the beautiful walk in-shower, high-spec kitchen, surround sound TV system and the patio with views over stunning countryside.
