I THINK it’s about time Kirklees cut the Thandis a bit of slack regarding ‘their’ site at Castle Hill.
They have eaten humble pie and then some. What is wrong with putting the pub back on the old footprint?

WITH the continuing views regarding ‘The Hill’, surely it’s time the various interested parties met to agree an acceptable plan for a structure that would incorporate all their requirements.
The existing Victoria Jubilee Tower is a pointer to what the new construction should also commemorate.
Next year will see the second Royal Diamond Jubilee in just over 100 years and it will be much more than that before another one occurs, if at all. Almost certainly, no-one alive today will live to see another such event.
